I'm studying Accounting and Management at Ahuntsic College, a college in Montreal. In this program, I learned how to run a business, how to complete account books, how to control the money of a business and how to ensure that these companies comply with financial laws. I chose this program because I like money and numbers. Everything that has to do with it interests me. Also, I would like to have my own business later in my life, that's why I chose management too.

Today I decided to tell you about an article I saw on the Internet that has to do with the business. This article talks about ways to make the season less painful taxes for small businesses. I chose to talk about this article because tax and tax declarations are part of the accounting and business management. In this article, Ian DiNovo, carrying in his firm: the Certified General Accountant, gives four tips to make tax filing easier.

First, he says, a company should have a plan for these taxes, months before the tax return season. That way, the company can have a strategy to eventually pay the least possible taxes. In addition, it would allow the accountant to have more time when the time comes to make the statements.

Second, DiNovo suggests business owners to discuss with their accountants. Sometimes there are some details that may well be unveiled in accounting and this could allow to better returns to save the company.

Third, he advises small business owners to ensure that their carrying book is always up to date because the tax filing season is not the time for it.

Finally, DiNovo suggests leaders to pay their taxes on time. As this would prevent the company from having to pay many costs for delays and when payments are made late, the government is more likely to forage for any mistake to make businesses pay more.

4 reasons why you should apply to accounting

There's a lot of programs you can choose to study in College, but it's not easy to find your way with all those possibilities. I'm studying accounting and management in College Ahuntsic and I will explain you four reasons why you should apply in this program too.

        1. You will always find a job

Sometimes, when you decide to study in a program, it's not sure if you will find a job or not. In accounting, it's not like that. All the companies need an accountant to check their budget or to produce their reports. Also, there's a lot of people who needs an accountant to check their personal finance.

        2. You will be well paid

When you finish College, you can start with an annual income of 40 000$. After College, you don't have to go to an university if you don't want to and you will start your career with a good income. If you go to University you will start with a possible starting income of 55 000$ and if you have the CPA status, it can be more. With a CPA status, there's so much possibilities that the sky is the limit for your potential income. But, it's a lot of work and studies to be there...

        3. You can start your own business

In that program, you study acounting, but also you study management, so you have a good basis to know how to start your own business. You will be able to do your own things and not be forced to hire someone else to do it. Also, you will be more able to see if you have a good idea of business from the start and if you will be able to make money with that.

        4. You will help people

You will be able to help people with their business' finances, help them to avoid a bankruptcy for example. It's also true for their personnal finance. A lot of people don't know how to manage their money in their life and in their business. With that program, you will be able to help them.

To finish, these are my four reasons why you should study in accounting and management. I wish it helped you to see all the opportunities in that program.
